We were literally asked to design and build a small cottage style house next to Jain Temple in less than 2 months with absolutely no big budget. Our first thoughts were to create something compact using natural materials. Hence we colloborated with Thumb Impressions and designed a quick to build and not so expensive Bamboo structure that would house a bedroom, kitchen and an open living area. 

 

The idea was to create a clean and crisp architecture using bambooo. The Bamboo structure sits independent of the walls on an extended plinth slab. Bamboo trusses support the lightweight roof and the wattle and daub walls.
